Mobil Innovation 2026
MOBIL INNOVATION 2026 will bring together professionals from the Flemish bus and truck sector on Thursday, 19 November, to discuss a highly topical issue: cybersecurity in an increasingly digitalised mobility environment. Connected vehicles, telematics, charging infrastructure, and digital back-office systems offer significant opportunities for the sector, but at the same time they increase vulnerability to cyberattacks.
Through inspiring keynotes, real-world case studies, panel discussions, and technology showcases, MOBIL INNOVATION 2026 aims not only to raise awareness but also to provide companies with practical tools and insights to strengthen their digital resilience in a sustainable way.The event is aimed at operators, transport companies, policymakers, technology partners, and other professionals active in the mobility and transport sector. Key topics for this edition include connected vehicles, fleet management systems, data management, charging infrastructure, and incident response.

Jan Deman
Secretary General, BAAV
Jan Deman has been active in the bus and coach industry since 2007. In 2011, he became Secretary General of BAAV, the Flemish federation of bus and coach operators. Since 2013, he has combined this role with that of Executive Director of the Busworld Foundation, the world’s largest network in the bus and coach industry.The Busworld Foundation owns and organises the Busworld Congresses, the largest B2B events in the global bus sector. Through these roles, Jan has gained extensive insight into the needs and challenges of public and private transport companies, bus and coach operators, manufacturers, and passengers around the world.
Isabelle De Maegt
Head of Information Department, FEBETRA
Isabelle De Maegt is the spokesperson and Head of the Information Department at FEBETRA. She has been active within the federation since 1990, when she began her career as Assistant PR Manager. With a background in Romance Philology, she has grown into an experienced communications professional within the transport sector.Although she entered the industry somewhat by chance, transport soon became her passion. Today, she is dedicated to informing, supporting, and representing transport operators, convinced of the vital role they play in driving the economy.
Vincent Dewaele
General Manager, Busworld International
Vincent Dewaele has been General Manager of Busworld International for several years and brings a strong technical and international background to the organisation. Throughout his career, he has been active across various industries, with a particular focus on general management and organisational development.Eight years ago, he was given the opportunity to help drive the global promotion of the bus industry through international events as CEO of Busworld International. Today, Busworld serves as an important link between the industry and operators, policymakers, and decision-makers worldwide, drawing on extensive expertise in the organisation of trade fairs and congresses.
Geert Baudewijns
CEO & Founder, Secutec | Cybercrime Negotiator | Founder, CyberNova
Geert Baudewijns is an IT and cybercrime expert, entrepreneur, and CEO of Secutec, a cybersecurity company that helps businesses, financial institutions, and government organisations protect themselves against digital threats. As one of Europe’s most experienced ransomware negotiators, he has managed hundreds of cyber incidents and is internationally recognised for his expertise.While negotiating with hackers over ransom demands and decryption keys, he also monitors the dark web for emerging data breaches and cyber threats. Drawing on his unique frontline experience, Geert offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes perspective on the world of hackers, cybercrime, and digital extortion.
Kevin Holvoet
Team Lead Threat Research Center, CCB
Kevin Holvoet is a Cyber Threat Intelligence expert and Team Lead of the Threat Research Centre within CyTRIS, the research and intelligence division of the Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium (CCB). In this role, he monitors the evolving cyber threat landscape at both national and international level and supports organizations in detecting, analyzing and responding to cyber threats.
Since 2020, Kevin has also been a SANS instructor for the FOR578 Cyber Threat Intelligence course and, since 2024, serves as Co-Author and Threat Domain Lead at CTI-CMM. With more than ten years of experience in cybersecurity and threat intelligence, he is a sought-after speaker, sharing practical insights on cyber resilience, threat analysis and the latest developments in cybersecurity.
Laurens Singier
Security Researcher & Ethical Hacker, HOWEST Cyber3Lab
Laurens Singier is a cybersecurity researcher and ethical hacker, specialising in both Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT). In his role at Howest Cyber3Lab, he helps organisations to better protect critical systems against cyber threats. With a background in computer science and a passion for penetration testing and ethical hacking, he translates complex cyber risks into practical insights. During his session, he combines technical expertise with realistic real-world examples from the world of industrial and operational cybersecurity.
Bastian Lingelbach
Solution Architect Digitalization Strategy, Daimler Buses
Bastian Lingelbach has been with Daimler Buses since 2017 and currently works in Sales & Product Management for Digital Services. His focus is on the provision of vehicle data, ensuring secure, reliable, and standardised access within connected bus environments.
In his role, he is responsible for data interfaces, cybersecurity, and regulatory affairs, while also representing Daimler Buses in international industry associations and standardisation initiatives. He holds an MBA in Mobility and Innovation Management from Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences, with a special focus on public transport from the perspective of transport authorities and operators. His work is driven by the ambition to help create a secure, interoperable, and future-proof digital ecosystem for public transport.
Richard Wolters
Manager Homologation, VDL Bus & Coach
Richard Wolters is Manager Homologation at VDL Bus Group, where he is responsible for the implementation of legislation and regulations across the VDL and Van Hool brands. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the bus industry.After starting his career at coach manufacturer BOVA, he developed into an expert in vehicle testing, homologation, and the introduction of new technologies. With a background in Automotive Engineering, Richard closely follows the evolution of European regulations relating to vehicle safety, electrification, connectivity, and cybersecurity.He contributes to the development and market introduction of innovative bus solutions that meet the highest safety and quality standards. In this context, cyber resilience has become increasingly important, as modern vehicles are more dependent than ever on software, data exchange, and connectivity.
