Thanks to the involvement of the entrepreneurs in the sector, the Flemish government supports the research project of BAAV and the Busworld Foundation into the best possible use of electric buses and coaches, or vehicles running on CNG / LNG or hydrogen. The project must result in a clear and user-friendly manual, including a tool for the comparison of the Total Cost of Ownership of the different technologies and fuels. On this basis, the commissioning of low-emission buses and coaches (EAB) at Flemish private companies and SMEs will be facilitated, including additional subsidy options for companies that are taking the first steps in that direction themselves.
